Lightning-fast local file search for Windows, suited to quickly finding papers, data, code, images and project files.
Everything is a Windows local file search tool by voidtools that quickly indexes file names and searches local files and folders in real time. Compared with Windows' built-in search, it is better suited to researchers who need to locate files quickly among large numbers of paper PDFs, experimental data, scripts, images and project files.
Use cases: local file search, finding paper PDFs, experimental data management, locating project files, organising document libraries
Note: Everything mainly searches by file name and is not a full-text search tool; to search inside PDF or Word documents, pair it with DocFetcher.
